Step-by-step setup

Kidelon installed and active in 5 minutes.

Parent app setup

  1. Install Kidelon (parent) from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Sign up with email + password. Confirm the verification email.
  3. Create your family (your name + family name).
  4. Set a 6-digit PIN — used to unlock Kidelon every time it opens.
  5. Add a child profile: name, age, avatar.
  6. "Pair device" → a 6-digit pair code is generated, valid for 24 hours.

Child app setup

  1. Install Kidelon Child on your child's phone.
  2. Enter the 6-digit pair code on the welcome screen.
  3. Approve the 8 permissions in order (see the Permissions page for detail).
  4. The onboarding tour wraps up automatically.
  5. Done! The child's phone is now under Kidelon supervision.

Multi-parent setup

  1. Parent app → Family → Invite member.
  2. Enter your partner's email; an invite is sent.
  3. Your partner opens the email link, installs Kidelon, accepts the invite.
  4. They set their own PIN and join your family.
  5. All parents control in parallel — admin/member roles assignable.

Troubleshooting

Child app won't open

Verify all 8 permissions are granted (see the Permissions page).

Pair code invalid

Codes expire after 24 hours. Generate a new one.

Lock doesn't work

Device Admin + Accessibility Service must be enabled. See Permissions.

Email not arriving

Check the spam folder. Otherwise tap "resend".

Premium not activating

Sign out and back in to trigger a RevenueCat sync.

No backend connectivity

If the network is up, run the in-app "API status" probe.
